PIP success. what a battle was created by ssusandobim
Hi all. I have already raised this a while ago but can't find it.I applied for pip for my Son in Feb , having been on high rate care and low rate mobility on DLA but after his medical he was only awarded 2 points for care and 4 point for mobility I asked for a mandatory reconsideration saying I would send in more evidence but on the day I got sent the extra evidence I got the letter that they had looked at my claim again WITHOUT looking at the additional information and the decision had not changed. so of to appeal it was.at this point I went to CAB and they sorted out a rep of the Legal advice centre who was brilliant and really put my case together very well , much better than I could.
So the Tribunal was to be on Friday 24/07 at 3pm but at 10.30 I got a call from the Tribunal saying I did not need to attend and the award was given for high rate care and high rate mobility scoring 17 care and 12 mobility you can imagine the relief I felt. so with the help of the guides on here and the LAC who put the case together he will now be left alone till 2021.

My advice to anyone going through this stressful time is read all you can on this site and provide as much evidence as you can .

good luck to you all.

Susan
