I still haaven't heard from the dwp re my appeal or back pay. my appeal from the 22nd june and they received the notification on 26th June. Is this normal? how long do they have if they would like to contest the decision? I have rang a couple of times but I am not getting much from them in terms of information and things and I'm starting to get very nxious about it...
many thanks in advance

Hi S,
My best advice would be to keep trying The PIP Helpline :
Telephone: 0345 850 3322
Textphone: 0345 601 6677
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
You could also try writing a letter to the DWP office that is dealing with your PIP querying the delay and including a copy of The Tribunal's Decision Notice.
Sending Documents to the DWP, ATOS, Capita or Maximus.
It can take them around 8 weeks to action a Tribunal Decision.

I am awaiting a phone call within 5 days from a decision maker following my phone call to the PIP helpline today. I can't fault the advisors, they are trying their absolute best and can only give so many answers. I am just getting rather annoyed that it has been well over a year since this whole process started. By the time it ends, I will be receiving my "invitation" to reapply!

Hi S,
The greater the amount of back payments owed the longer it may take as it has to be checked and signed off by a Manager.
Hopefully it won't take much longer.
