is it ok to offer email addresses and whatever else here? I would like to message Amanda about the content of my letter, but there is no private message option.
also, is there any way I can make a donation to this website? or does it receive other funding? I very much doubt I would have had such an easy tribunal if it wasn't for your guides.

That is great news and well deserved. We are just in the processing of appealing for my partner who was requested to apply for PIP from DLA. He got 4 points on initial decison letter , 2 points on Mandatory reconsideration? I have completed the self test with him online for the descriptors using the "how your dissability effects you form" and he got 25 points care and 12 points mobility. I really do not know what they are playing at. Dissabled life is difficult enough for both the disabled person and the carer. My only fault was I really did not realise the importance of completing such initial and mandatory claims with such precision to their book as I thought when we made the intial claim for dla along with renewal claims all this would be transferred and considered accordingly but I now understand they are treating it as a different benefit , etc so am now doing so accordingly via our appeal gathering as much evidence as possible.Having said this I clearly stated my partners condition on both claim and MR It appears that they did not really look at or gather any information themselves .
I would appreciate a look at your Mandatory Reconsideration letter if possible and I am sure others would find it most useful.
You take care ,

I'm afraid we do not normally allow email addresses to be published in the forum as it is open to the internet so anybody might then send you email.
The site is funded by the subscription fees that you will have been paid for access to the guides, the forum is provided as a courtesy but we thank you for thinking of making an additional donation.

Neither DLA nor PIP is awarded because the claimant has a specific condition, they will only receive an award by showing the limitations that result from that condition.

You are correct, you cannot rely on DWP to collect any information or evidence other than what the claimant supplies. That is why it is so important to fill out the form in minute detail and supply all the evidence possible.

Thank you for offering to tell me details of your letter. I have just got my letter today to tell me my tribunal hearing will be on July 7th. Getting very nervous.....although I've done nothing wrong, I feel like it will be a trial!
