DLA to PIP success!!

I have just had my dreaded brown envelope in the mail. I have been awarded standard rate care and enhanced rate mobility! It's the same as I was getting on DLA more or less, but with the horrendous new forms and all the new rules, I wouldn't have known where to begin without the Benefit and Work guides. Thank you so, so much!

Just out of interest, my journey went like this:

9/11/14 applied by phone

28/1/15 face to face due to take place, but cancelled 45 mins before start time.

10/2/15 face to face due to take place, but cancelled a few days before.

24/2/15 face to face consultation. Finally!

11/3/15 Received award notification in the post!

So 4 months from start to finish. My assessor was a nurse, but she was also some sort of manager and I think she was sent especially because the original assessor kept cancelling. She was extremely good, anyway.
