Very important to find out how I got into SG and make sure
with a progressive condition make sure that factor is drawn to
their attention next time. In spite of wanting to ignore them completely
I will write and request this information. Thank you for explaining this on my happy day.
On the period of my award, people here locally had told me to phone the number on the letter
to find out how many years. I phoned 0345 6088545 four times this morning for 5, 8, 9 and 11
minutes but never got through (just music).
Is this right number or is there an e-mail or is writing a letter what people do?
Hi b,
Yes, you can ring that number :
NEW ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA.
Where you can request the ESA85A Medical Report, and the "length" of the award.
Even if you can get through, and it is best if you ring as early as possible, there is no guarantee that they will send out the requested "Documents", or if they will inform you of the prognosis. (Even though they should have the prognosis of The SG award on your file, on computer screen)
You could try to phone again if you wish.

Hi b,
Just to add,
The maximum prognosis is 3 years, see :
How often will I be reviewed

Thank You once again for your amazingly expert help and
assistance during a very stressful and worrying period. You
do very good things for weak and vulnerable people.
The feedback for you is that my letter today came exactly
71 weeks after they received my completed ESA50.
(on my original IB to ESA migration).

Phoned them this morning to get prognosis and got sraight through at 8AM.
Superb news that my Support Group award is for Three Years !
What a relief !
In summary. It was absolutely vital to use the B & W guides to explain fully
how my medical conditions affect my life. Not even a F2F. Thank You !
It also exposes the crazy system that continually reassesses
people with incurable, progressive diseases. This is a waste
of Taxpayers money!

Of ESA SG.
My letter states that my ESA begins in 1st October. When
I rang to fund how many years and was thrilled to be told
Three years they told me my three years starts from
5th August.
Is this an error? That makes it three years less eight weeks.
Mainly though I agree with your point that by far the
major thing is that I got in support group for three years.
Thank You again.

Hi b,
This is probably due to the fact that a re-referral from The DWP to ATOS to instigate a reassessment generally starts a couple of months before the end of the prognosis period.
In your case the prognosis is 3 years. Therefore, the date on your file to start your reassessment would be August 2017, a couple of months before the 3 year anniversary of the October date of this current SG award.

I am slightly worried to receive another brown envelope from DWP Belfast.
This has three forms all talking about "benefit ceased 30/09/2014"
Leaving date the same. Nothing at all about my new benefit
starting on my IB to ESA migration.
These are P45 forms that I have never had before in 15 years on IB.
Is there anything to worry about? They will have received my SAR request
for the various forms by now. They cannot change their minds
and change the decision can they after writing to
me about support group?
